Title Prompt Response from last week.
On a stainless steal slab rested a grey skinned bipedal organism. It’s eyes were closed but Devin was willing to bet they they were completely black. He tried to imagine a way this could be a deformed human being.
“It’s not what you think,” said Janet. She wore a white lab coat and bizarrely high heels, which was not cool in a lab environment.
“Well. I think it’s an alien. A stereotypical grey alien.”
“Okay. It is what you think.” She looked down at her clipboard and made a mark with her pen. Was she following some sort of check list? ’Tell the new guy about the alien corpse” was now checked off?
“Why are you showing it to me?”
“It’s why we hired you. You’ve debunked several cryptid corpses. We’d like you to attempt to do the same here. You aren’t the first of course. We have several bodies. We’re getting input from multiple sources.”
“Where did they come from?”
She sighed. “I don’t know. And the powers that be want us in the dark on this. I recommend you focus on the task at hand. You’ll find the lab fully stocked. If you need anything else, let me know.” With that she turned on her heels and left.
